Mayor's Report

MAYOR'S REPORT TO THE CITIZENS CONCERNING THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE FINANCIAL REPORT, THE REPORT OF THE EXTERNAL AUDITOR AND THE REMUNERATION OF MUNICIPAL ELECTED OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KAZABAZUA

Council members, Citizens,

In accordance with the provisions of article 176.2.2 of the Code City of Quebec, tabled at the regular meeting of the municipal Council of July 19, 2022, I present to you the highlights from the financial statement of the municipality of Kazabazua and of the report of the external auditor for the financial year ending December 31, 2022, as audited by the accounting firm Mazars.

2022 financial statements audited
Operating revenues for the year 2022 were $ 2,407,649 while expenses were $ 2,073,498.  Consolidated surplus for the year ending December 31st, 2022 was $ 341,746.

The global Taxation for the year 2022 was 0.94 per $ 100 per evaluation.

External Auditor's Report
The external auditor is of the opinion that the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the Municipality of Kazabazua, as well as the results of our operations, the change in our net financial assets, our cash flows and reevaluation gains and losses for the year that ended.

Remuneration of the elected
In accordance with section 11 of the Act respecting the treatment of elected municipal officers, the financial report mentions the remuneration and expense allowance that each council member receives from the municipality. The remuneration of elected officials is established by By-law.

The mayor’s 2022 taxable income was $ 14, 952 plus an allowance of $ 7, 476. The taxable income of each councilor was $ 4,968 and the allowance of $ 2,496.

Conclusion
In conclusion, the financial report ending December 31, 2022, shows that the municipality is in a good financial situation.

In closing, I want to acknowledge the support and commitment of elected officials and all employees who are committed to providing quality services. In addition, I thank the many citizens, volunteers and organizations who contribute throughout the year to the success and development of the Municipality of Kazabazua.

2021 Mayor's Report

MAYOR'S REPORT TO THE CITIZENS CONCERNING THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE FINANCIAL REPORT, THE REPORT OF THE EXTERNAL AUDITOR AND THE REMUNERATION OF MUNICIPAL ELECTED OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KAZABAZUA

In accordance with the provisions of article 176.2.2 of the Code City of Quebec, tabled at the regular meeting of the municipal Council of May 3rd, 2022, I present to you the highlights from the financial statement of the municipality of Kazabazua and of the report of the external auditor for the financial year ending December 31, 2021, as audited by the accounting firm Piche & Lacroix CPA Inc.

2021 financial statements audited
Operating revenues for the year 2021 were $ 2,031,666 while expenses were $ 1,879,980.  Consolidated surplus for the year ending December 31st, 2021 was $ 156,701.

The global Taxation for the year 2021 was 0.96 per $ 100 per evaluation.

External Auditor's Report
The external auditor is of the opinion that the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the Municipality of Kazabazua, as well as the results of our operations, the change in our net financial assets, our cash flows and reevaluation gains and losses for the year that ended.
